SIM D1 very tight with* Topic

If a SIM D1 team is very tight with a player, how much money do you need to spend to get that player. I went as high as 9k and was not considered.

Does that SIM D1 continues to spend on the player?

If you're at D2,  you have very little chance to get that player.   I don't have a D1 team so someone else will need to address that

The very tight messages come out to roughly 25 HV's.....it's somewhere between 22-27 HV in my experience

Say you get a hv at 400*25, its 10k. I was close.

I probably let a good player go because I thought very tight meant never getting him.

You get the *tight* message at, say, 25 HV or 50 HV and any amount in between....that's the risk with going after a kid the sim is *tight* with.  Given you didn't get considered with 25 HV (assuming all were accepted) and you're also at D1, you would need at least 60 HV in this case to get ahead of the sim.

I've spent $30k with a D1 A+ prestige team getting a recruit away from a B+ sim.

If the sim has about 6 open scholarships there usually are couple recruits they're tight with.   But often one of those recruits has more effort invested by the sim than the other.
