Coastal Carolina is leaving the Big South, for every sport except football, for the Sun Belt in 2016. They'll upgrade their football program and start Big South football in 2017

Coastal is one of only five NCAA D1 teams to have it's football, men's basketball, baseball, and men's soccer teams make the national playoffs last season. UCLA, Maryland, Louisville and Notre Dame were the others.

The future of Big South football is up in the air. They're down to 7 schools.

My cousin is their QB. Shame he won't be there for the step up in class, but I'm sure it's been awesome being a part of their football program raising its profile in the last couple years.
