Recruit battles and distance Topic

When in a recruting battle, how do distances work? I mean to say, if I'm 50 miles away and the person I'm battling is 20 miles away, is that essentially the same with respect to recruting? I know 360 miles is typically where actions get more expensive, but if two schools are so close to the recruit, does either have the advantage?

If you're unsure how much a HV/CV costs at any distance during recruiting you can just find a player that distance away from you and click on the "recruit" tab to check the costs.  (You don't need to have FSS for the state to do this either.)

I understand the cost differences. I was just unsure if there was any discernable advantage to a team 20 miles from a recruit over a team 50 miles away? For example, I have an distance advantage over a team 400 miles away. But when both teams are within 100 miles, is there an advantage to the nearer team? Is it "10 is better than 20" or is it more like "100 miles is better than 200, but all distances within 100 are treated the same"?

Sorry if my original post was confusing.

call effort = call effort; HV effort = HV effort; etc., adjusted for division / prestige and other factors, such as favorite school and distance preference (close to home, etc.).

that said, pin this as your favorite. it gives a breakdown of recruiting value per $. pretty detailed chart.
