i apologize in advance for my ignorance, but i'm trying to figure out how this whole thing works.  i forgot to download the stats from my previous seasons to document my issue, but i'm certain that the stolen base +/- has been an issue in each of the very few seasons i've played.  When i look at the league offensive SB/CS and the league SBA/CS, i have always found that the numbers never foot (pun intended).
Off the top of my head, is it a function of cut players not feeding into the totals?  but (again, as conjecture, cuz i didnt save the league data) i recall the difference between offensive net stolen bases vs defensive net stolen bases as being fairly large.  Is it just me?

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but in team defensive stats, both the catcher and the pitcher are given credit for either the SBA or the CS.  Defensively, steals are double-counted.

that makes perfect sense, and while i knew that, i somehow managed to avoid thinking about it before i asked a stupid question...  thanks.
