I'm recruiting two point guards, one has significantly more BH than P, the other has significantly more P than BH. All four skills are blue, so it might not make much of a difference, but if you had to pick the more important skill in PGs, which would it be?

pass

What offense do you run?

And is one just higher than the other? Or is one of those ratings lower than you would want for a PG?

For Motion you definitely need a Passing PG..

I run a motion, yeah. One guard has, like, 45 passing and 25 ball handling. The other has something like 43 ball handling and 26 passing. This is at D2.

Neither

@mullycj, so neither Passing or Ball Handling are important for a PG in Motion?  Or they equally important, maybe?

for a non scoring pg its not even close, passing. if the guy is also one of your key scorers, that's when it can get close.

I can understand why passing is more important in the Motion. And I assume I'd want every position to be able to pass at least a little.

for everything passing is really important in your PG

Neither - as in I wouldn't take either player with those ratings for D2.

BH helps the individual player score
Pass helps the rest of the team score.

So I would not make a decision in a vacuum without knowing what the ratings were of the other players on the team.

That's fair. The point guard who would be my starter will also be able to score.

BH against the press; pass vs. everything else.
Speed is always great as well. I generally don't care if my pg can score. I'm more interested in him getting everyone else to score without turning the ball over a lot.
