I believe the boosters have been complaining at my Lafayette team for 1/2 seasons and I still haven't had a prestige drop from C- for the past 2 seasons

I wouldnt be worried.

boosters complaining is the first level of grumbling. you cannot get fired from boosters complaining. if things go badly for a while longer, you will drop to in jeopardy, and then it still takes a couple bad seasons to get fired.

It is almost impossible to get fired. If you can make the PIT then they will love you.
