Pitchers Batting Stats - Normalized? Topic

Are pitchers' batting statistics normalized? I'm sure there is a HOFer who has been playing much longer than me who knows the answer. So would pitchers say from 1900 to 1919 bat higher typically than their real averages and pitchers in the 1920s bat significantly less than their real stats??

I'm guessing pitchers hitting stats are not normalized due to an oversight by the programmers. Any info would be appreciated.

I believe pitchers batting stats are normalized but I have no evidence

I'm not sure how you would fail to include normalization for some hitters. Either it's part of the calculations during an at-bat or it's not.

You don't see batting information on pitchers when you click on their profile. The only way to see a pitcher's hitting stats is to search for it when you draft or on performance history. I understand just because it's not there doesn't mean it's not normalized, but I kind of have a hunch it's not. It would be nice if pitcher's hitting stats were available to look at on the player's profile.

I believe ( and have always planned/played accordingly) that they're normalized, but have nothing emperical to site. Ask admin via ticket? Post their reply please
