Hangover League expanding for 1977 season - Filled Topic

Leauge Expansion -

The league has expanded three times in our history, adding two teams to the AL in 1961, two teams to the NL in 1962, and two teams each to the AL and NL in 1969.  The procedure for our upcoming 1977 AL expansion will be...

1977 Expansion:

As in each other case, all current franchises post their twelve man protection list. You may protect players on IR. All others are made eligible for the expansion draft.

The two expansion franchise owners determine selection order for the expansion draft and regular draft by means of rock/paper/scissors. Both owners sitemail their r/p/s choice to the commish to determine a winner. Winner chooses which draft he selects earlier in.

The expanison draft then begins. Each NL team will lose one player. The six AL teams with the lowest winning percentage in 1976 will lose one player. The AL teams with the six top winning percentages in 1976 will lose two players. These teams will protect one extra player after losing their first player.

All teams then post their keepers list for the regular draft. The two expansion teams will be placed after all teams with losing records. Any team finishing the 1976 season with a .500 record would select after both expansion teams.

To alleviate any PA/IP issues, the expansion teams would be granted extra picks after each odd numbered round, beginning with the first round.
