I was just wondering why the stats for one of my favorite players appears inconsistent.... when i draft 81 tim raines, sometimes his stolen bases are listed as 71, sometimes they're listed as 107.  What gives?

Strike season.  Sometime you are seeing his actual steals (71), sometime you are seeing his stats prorated to 162 games (107).

that makes tons of sense, but doesnt explain why its displayed differently from time to time.  also, will the way it's displayed affect performance (107 vs 71 is a tangible difference)?

In some places, you are looking at his "Actual Stats" while in others you are looking at his "Stats per 162 games played"

ohhhh.  i assumed all the stats came from the same data field.
