Streetball Tournament

Anyone ever play the original NBA Street? You would take your original three guys, none of whom were good, and you'd gain more skills by winning games. Over time, you could win better players for your crew, like Bonafide and Stretch. It was pretty fun.

Well, I have an idea that resembles that.

1. One round draft. Select two NBA or ABA non-playoff teams. First person to sign up gets first pick.

2. You can use any player from those teams.

3. The playoff teams from Season 1 each can pick one NBA playoff team (first round exit) in the Season 2 draft, in addition to their one non-playoff team, for a total of 2.

4. If you don't make the playoffs the next season, you lose that playoff team selection. You must go back to picking two non-playoff teams.

5. If you skip a season of the league, you can still keep your playoff team credits. If you made the playoffs the last time you did the league, you will not have to reset your playoff team selection.

6. For every consecutive season that you make the playoffs, you can upgrade your playoff team selection by one round (one second-round exit playoff team). For every season that you miss the playoffs, you lose one round.

7. You can continue to upgrade until your playoff team selection is a championship team (5 upgrades). If you make the playoffs again, your second pick becomes an NBA playoff team (first round exit). You can upgrade a maximum of 10 times.

8. If you win the championship, you get 2 round upgrades.

9. Since tanking is not beneficial, there will be no lottery. Worst team gets first pick in the draft.

Any takers?
