Question about C Topic

Hey fellas. First post here. Can't believe I never knew about this game before. Just found out about it by luck. I've been dying to play a game like this. Very excited to get going.

Ok here is my question. I'm the new coach at Ozarks in the wooden world. It was definitely a bad pick now that I know abit more about the game as a have to fill 6 spots. I'm definitely not going to be signing 6 so some walk on's for me is pretty certain. I'll learn from this as I was pretty horny to get going once the recruiting period started.

I might get one Freshmen C signed but other then that I'm <profanity>shit</profanity> out of luck. I'm wondering what I should be doing. I've got couple PF and SF. I'm wondering what's the best attribute to look at to fill that C spot. I know this isn't ideal and I'll have to suffer for a couple season at this position but anything from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and extremely happy to be apart of the HD world!

Welcome to the addiction!! ATH, REB, DEF, and LP are all desirable traits in a center. Stamina also helps, obviously.  Pay attention to Work Ethic as it will help define rate of growth.

Don't pay attention to the listed position though -- you are free to change that after your team shows up and can also play players out of position without penalty (assuming they have to ratings to play the position you want them to). So some of those PF's you have will almost assuredly be able to play at C for you as well (I literally consider PF and C to be synonymous when setting my lineups and just recruit "bigs" for my teams).

You might want to search the mentor list and see who is available to take on new players. Also, there's a player guide on here "How to succeed at D3/D2" that has valuable info. I'll see if I can find it and bump it for you so its on the first page. Again, welcome to the addiction!

Height....get the tallest guy with the worst defense

Welcome, Cidder.  I see it only took 6 minutes for someone to start BS'ing you.  I doubt that's any sort of a record.

idk when recruiting ends, but usually there are guys with low (under 10) ATH and high REB and BLK left over when its all said and done...so target them as roster fillers at that position if you're really in need yo.

Hey Cidder,
Just want to make sure you know that Coach Nate and nacho are joking around.
Rednu is telling the truth.
Athleticism and Defense are very valuable overall.
You would never want to get a guy with an Ath rating of 10, for example.
Good luck and read thru the thread about how to win at D3 and D2.

ignore height

look at rosters of teams in your conference and in other conferences - check out human coached teams that did reasonably well for indication of what works.
