In an effort to save an already taxed bullpen, I switched the pitch counts of my starters for a 3 game series.
I set all 3 pitchers to PC's of 125/140 and a pull number of 1. In all 3 cases, the starter never threw more than 97 pitches. It's a DH league, so being pulled for a PH is not a factor. No pitcher was getting shelled, nor were they throwing a gem. All 3 pitchers were actual SP's with RL innings of 200+ each.
Anyone have any insight on why my guys got yanked before they even reached 100 pitches?
