So that essentially means that it costs a sim the same amount of money for recruiting efforts for any recruit, right? Do Sims have a pattern of recruiting? i.e... do they send 1 CV every cycle, etc.?
Currently waiting on some1 who told me whoever spends the most cash on me wins. My final prospect for my team told me whoever spends the most cash on me wins and I am currently in a recruting battle with a sim. 2,634 spent on my 5th and final prospect hopefully that is enough. Waiting patiently for 5:01 to hit.
Sounds to me like you are talking about the form email on either a call or a letter that was sent to the kid -- if so, be aware that the scholarship message and Word on the Street are the only things that tell you where you stand in relation to a kid signing (and the latter is only good at precisely two times per day...).
Cash spent is never a measuring device for recruits in the game. Recruiting effort is what matters -- each action you do translates to a certain amount of effort toward getting the kid to come to your school. Exactly how much effort goes with each action is a matter of speculation and debate, but it is the product of that effort that gets a kid to sign, not the dollar value attached to it (otherwise everyone would be better off signing kids across the country from them since actions at a distance cost more than actions close). Cash is important, but only because it can be converted into recruiting effort.
Sorry if I'm misconstruing your post and telling you something you already know. Just want to make sure you're not under false assumption here about which messages to listen to and such.
