I try to sign a bunch of IFA's for <$200k who look like they could be half decent if they got the bump. Couple that with large HS and/or Col scouting budgets on my rebuilding teams (in order to snag a number of additional players that would be decent with the DITR bump) and I'd say between my rookie and LowA squads, 50-75% of the players should be good DITR candidates. I'm fairly new to HBD, and still in the process of phasing out the bottom of the barrel players on my squads, and as such I don't have a lot of results to show yet.

Does anyone else put much effort into priming their minors to increase the likelihood for a good DITR bump? I'd be interested in hearing any strategies the vets have.

I do this by drafting low durability catchers in the 3-5 rounds who look like they could be useful if they hit a DitR. Success stories include Luis Lee, Donnie Thurston, PJ Dirks (actually not drafted by me, but I demanded him as a trade throw-in before he got his DitR), Lee Justice, and Steve Leonard. All picked in rounds 3-5.

We just had our DITR go down this morning. I'm new and was not available at the time the budget was set for my league. Was very busy at the time.
Well anyway I have $10 million across the board set by the system. I can tell you it must (scouting/training?) have something to do with DITR because I had only one player get it and his floor was bumped 3 and ceiling none. ****** I am because of WIS handcuffing the newbies like this. One thing I know is it doesn't go by whether your team is good or bad either. Right now, like a lot of new players you take over bad teams (bottom 5). So if anyone has the answer for next time please let me know what to set things to best results.

There is no correlation to scouting. It's lower OVR players who get them. C, 1B, SS, RP. And players who are active. Inactive players do not get them. I activate all of the aforementioned and cross my fingers. I've gotten a few good ones but most are nothing.

Is there a set time in the season when DITR players are named?
