Player Drafted? Topic

I recently had a player make 1st team All American at D-1, despite not being on the draft board. Statistics are solid, just doesn't have the elite ratings to go with it. Any chance he gets drafted? Does getting on the 1st team All-American carry any weight?

I believe I've had 2 poy at D1 from a D- baseline and I didn't notice anything(they also were just heavily stat influenced sadly.)

I know there was a time when stats were heavily considered, way back, possibly before 2010. Then they added an update that focused more on ratings.

Not a bad D1 player, stats got him there for sure though.

Again not bad, but stats were the reason

I believe Nugent was #3 in scoring that year(I also had #1 scorer who was a first team AA)

Preston was #1 in scoring, tied for top 25 in blocks, didn't have a lot of rebounds.

Seems a high ath/lp with big scorer can get NPOY easily

It's just my humble opinion, however I feel stats should have more of an impact when it comes to getting drafted, especially when it comes to shooting efficiency, rebounding efficiency etc. etc. Although, I believe stats could still have some impact, I think they mostly did away with it, because there were teams holding down players' statistics.
