I just took over my first Big 6 team in tark. They currently run the Flex offense. I've always used motion on my teams, and was hoping someone with Flex experience can provide me some insight on what types of players are important in running the flex and how it can be most effective. I want to assess my options before deciding whether to keep the flex or change to motion. Thanks in advance for any input.

Speed, Passing, and good Perimeter are what Hoops 101 says. It also says Flex is a variation of Motion.

I usually recruit Guards with Speed and my SF is usually an SG type player who can rebound a little.

I personally do not treat Flex and Motion any different WRT who I recruit on offense.. Others may.

I stress PER a little more in flex. Not a ton but a little more.

The biggest difference is how I set up distribution. In motion I make it more balanced, in flex I'll load up on my top 1-3 scorers way more.

I'd say SPD and BH are most important for guards, PER is boosted by good SPD and BH. I'd rather have a quick SF than a good rebounding SF. Definitely agree with scaturo about loading up on the distro for the top players.
