Prestige in new game? Any reward for doing well?

Any? Yes. However, it is seriously muted. The value of prestige is now a small component as opposed to the biggest component (in d1).

There is, but the best way to describe the present situation is that it is balanced by preferences match. Some effects may not fully be known as the Big 6 conferences were not very strong in the Beta. Certainly not as strong as they are in the "real" worlds.

Some are going to gripe about it, but the reality is that, until the update is released into the real worlds, WIS probably won't be able to assess whether the prestige vs. preferences formulas are skewed. At the present, it certainly seems that prestige is under-weighted and preferences are over-weighted. Dollars to donuts, there will be a future update that adjusts those equations to bring prestige back up. The most sober thing that can be said is that it just won't become crystal clear until after the release.

It seemed fairly clear to me that prestige already needs adjusted, to make it more powerful. The beta grew on me over time, but my general sense is that D1 was over corrected in favor of the little guys. Battles were won by lower prestige schools fairly regularly. Basically, D1 is much more like D2 and D3 now - unless they make some quick adjustments. Obviously we can't see behind the curtain, but with all the other changes - no post season cash, home visits being capped, random element to who the recruit will sign with, etc. it seems like a huge win for the little guys.

Spudball... (shiver)

However, the best change Seble has made was making it impossible for DII to sign a DI recruit until the second session and it is impossible for DIII to sign a DI recruit until the last 24 hours.

I don't know if we actually know. Seble will not provide any information.
Sort of like if you don't tell your girlfriend you are cheating on her, she wont get mad at you.

But give this NEW game a few seasons and see what kind of uproar you get from current users... when the "A" school loses to the "C" school.

I have no idea whether this is true or not. I feel like we're totally in the dark
