Rescind scholly to open up final spot? Topic

Finishing up my first season/recruiting. Should I rescind a scholly (of course of a sim-signed player) in the hope of getting one more recruit to sign? I've kept recruiting and am Very High with one, tied with someone else, and I've offered a scholly. I assume the recruit can't accept until I actually have an opening? Apologies if it's a silly question but I couldn't find this in writing anywhere. Thanks...

Yes if you have a useless SIMAI signed player. You'll get more scouting money(which it sounds like you don't need) and more recruiting dollars(that you might need).

Even if you can't fill the spot right away it might be a good idea to cut and take the walk on. Then get a guy next season.

If you have 11 and there is a clear upgrade available late, I would roll the dice and go for it -- you know your depth needs are covered, no reason not to shoot the moon under this new format to fill that final slot. Risk-reward is the name of the new recruiting game.

Since its a Sim recruited player rather than one of your own, you shouldn't even take a reputation hit for the cut.
