So, due to terrible non conference scheduling, I am worried I might not make the NT this season in Phelan if I don't win my conference tournament... I am sure we have all been here. Doubting ourselves, that if we lose the CT we would not be in.

Does anyone have any stories about this with there experience on who gets picked vs who gets left home?

im 25-1 (15-1 in conference) and my only loss is to a top 50 RPI team away, I won at home against them. More than likely if I lose, it will be in 3 games vs this top 50 RPI team on a neutral court. (He has the better team).

My RPI sits @ 42 and I'm on the bubble on the projection report. I have been unranked all season but getting votes in the "other votes section"

i looked back through 15 seasons in Phelan and only found 2 teams with 3 losses that went to the PI vs NT. (No 2 loss team).

all this to ask, what is your experience and have you ever been left out, or included without winning a CT?

thanks!

You qcan figure it out yourself just by using the projection report

look at where you are on the projection report

then look at each other conference and count the teams below 64 on the projection report that are likely to win their CT or could win their CT. Take the likelys and the possibles. Is there still room for you in the Dance? Watch those likelys and possibles as they go through their CTs - hope that the possibles lose!

Not sure what the human distribution in Phelan is, but 42 should be a low enough number to be safe (although that doesn't take into account the shift that would occur with a loss...)

For future seasons, don't schedule Sim teams for home games. (if those were human teams last season that went Sim due to a lack of renewals on free HD seasons, totally understand...)

I'm in Phelan and can view the projection report. He's currently at 45. However his next game, in the conference tournament, is against a 282 RPI team, so he'll probably need to win that one. If he can get by Gordon, he should be in.
