PI and Prestige Topic

What do you think my prestige will be next year with a second place PI finish? What would be the difference if I lost in the first round?

In D2 after I wont the PI championship I went from B+ to A- and that's without fighting baseline prestige. Honestly I think the most that would happen would be moving to a C vs C- but I wouldn't be surprised if you stayed C-. From what I've heard winning the PI is about as good is winning 1 game in the NT. So making the NT can equal out to making the championship in the PI. So in retrospect it isn't worth much even though it feels like a lot.

Also do not forget your fighting a D baseline so being the championship game in the PI is worth about an NT berth you wont see much out of it.

In my 4th season at WVU, we won the PI and moved from C to B-.

A bunch of seasons later, we lost in the PI championship and PI final four in back to back seasons, and the prestige stayed at B for both.

Losing in the first round of the NT is always better than winning the PI. If your prestige is poor any post-season birth can raise it. If I recall correctly I've dropped prestige multiple times for going far/winning the PI when I was already an A or A+.
