No. He's a terrible BL player right now.

His current ratings are very mediocre. You're going to be burning ML service time on a guy who's not going to give you much production if you promote and play him now. I would keep him in the minors for a couple of seasons. Track his development and promote when he can contribute somewhere above replacement level (which is pretty much what he is now).

yeah, I knew he wouldn't get much time, pretty much a bench player, but my coaches are better there, and I have struggled to get players to hit their potential. maybe in a season.

Don't bring up a young player just to sit him on the bench. They need to play to develop.

Exactly. Whenever you bring a top prospect up to the majors, it's because he'll be playing every day. The only time you should bring a prospect up with the intent of being a bench player is if that's what you see his long term role to be.

Also, don't burn a spot on your 40 man roster with a guy that doesn't have to be on there for a few years. Until they are obviously ready to produce at ML level.
