The fact that this is even a legitimate question shows how out of touch the OP is.

Though I'm sure there would be the normal contingent of coaches who would find something to ***** and moan about.

Well, one of the reasons for the question was, and maybe I have the details wrong, many veteran coaches asked for a world of their own when HD was changing to 3.0. Maybe they just wanted a 2.0 world. Can't recall.

I don't think ALL would fill but, given a month, I wouldn't be surprised if 250ish spots could be taken. Users in different worlds, who would like to compete with one another on even footing, would be afforded that opportunity. Nothing motivates sim users like "new". And, of course, you have the whole bragging rights thing. If the guy dominating Smith thinks he's the best and the Rupp, Iba guys think the same thing, there's their chance to prove it.

I voted yes, but given the high rate at which established users gave up on the 3.0 beta world -- which was free to play -- I'm not confident in my answer.

Thinking about it, I think it could. It would require some work on WifS' behalf(and we have no idea if they'd do it). First order of business would be to contact the owners that left. Most would probably tell them to blow it out their *** but that's the starting point. Then contact the other Dynasty game players, which is where I think the "new" would work well. Finally a SM to all WifS members emphasizing "New World".

All I have to say is that the race to the Elites in a new world is one of the coolest things I have ever experienced in HD. I wish this game could return back to the days where it was popular enough to justify new worlds but obviously that would require some advertising to do so....

Perhaps not 100 percent, but enough of us old timers would love a new World and a race to the top!

I'd take a team to see it through. It must be fun.

Well, I like this idea about 1000x more closing a world. I voted no because I think you wouldn't totally fill it out but I do think you'd get over 200 spots filled with current coaches looking to race to the top like others have mentioned.

I can't imagine the teams that would be pulled in with only sims at D1/D2 to compete against. Would probably be pretty nuts.

But sure, what the hell! As long as they make it a 2 a day.

"they" aren't going to do anything. I was just curious what people thought.

It's ranged from "not in a million years" to the insulting response from cjmully(shocker) to "would love it".

In the end, I think 200 is a gimme. 300 would be possible if WifS marketed the current user base with "NEW!!!!!!" but I think it tops out in that neighborhood. To me, the allure would be competing against folks you don't compete against now. Once a conference fills with 9 people you've never seen, it loses that allure. So all you're left with is "NEW!!!!!" and the race to the top.

I voted no. There are so many BCS school openings now there is no need to have a new race to the top. If the new world was a 2.0 world, that would be different. Hell, I would buy multiple 10 packs to see a 1.0 world created.
