Just found out that a problem exists because we have no idea if the ineligibles that sat out a year will be coming back for his 5th year, meaning we either get him back or end up with a walkon. You certainly can't offer a scholarship to a possible recuit..or can you?

At DII, you will automatically get 4 years of eligibility for ineligible recruits who sat out their FR season. The only way they won't appear on your roster at the start of next season is if they give up their eligibility to get drafted or you decide to cut them during RS2.

If you were a D1 school, then they have to maintain a 2.8 GPA in order to come back for that 5th season.

And this is the same rule for redshirts as well as ineligible s?
