SICK of the DiceRoll Crap Topic

Sick of the luck involved. You put yourself in the right position to be successful, utilize your resources properly and then catch continued bad luck and can't make up for it. Really wish the guys at wish gave a s*** about this game. The gap needs to be narrowed on who has a chance with the coinflip BS. I would like to see ONLY teams that are 'Very High' be considered in the coin flip randomness. By doing so recruiting skill will be added back into the game.

Sick of the crap luck some get. My goal in recruiting is to push all other teams to 'Moderate', but that's not possible with the recruiting caps.

I feel terrible for you, honestly. However, the one thing I can say is I'm 0-1 in 9 seasons in dice rolls and it's worked out fine.

You guys come across as if you think the game doesn't need fixes. The new system has removed lots of the skill in recruiting and replaced it with luck. Don't get me wrong some aspects are good, but luck needs to be reduced a bit.

I also understand a coach like mikeT who prefers the luck aspect because it actually gives them a chance to be successful, but for the majority of skilled coaches it's driving them from the game. The decline in the number of coaches in each world don't lie.

The amount of resources to put myself in such a good position is the frustrating part.

lets round up and assume 50% on each. So, the chance of losing all three was about 12.5% - maybe more like 15% given the actual percentages. Thats a pain.

One lesson is that one needs to find a guy or two where there wont be a battle at all - or accept multiple walkons, etc

I had and used backup plans for my duke team, but the quality of those guys are crap. I would like to see the less lucky signings. I think everyone would benefit if the 'dice roll' only included the schools that were 'very high'.

Yes. And his odds of winning all 3 were somewhere around 9-10%. People do sometimes win 3 3-way battles in a row. And we don't hear about it when they do.

Strategy is more important in this environment. Strategy doesn't stop at the decision of a single recruit, strategy involves how many players you go after, how hard, how you prioritize, how high you reach... it goes on. And you can't just effect the outcome you want, you have to play in relation to the strategies everyone else is using.

I agree. VH should always trump H when it comes time to sign!

3 way battles are killers and I 99% avoid them as my recruiting strategy is very conservative, however in 2 of these cases UNC and Illinois jumped in at the starting of the signing period. Coincidentally the recruit signed with both of those schools.

You guys? On another active thread I'm arguing that the game is broken. Damn.

It evens out in the long run but honestly, I always felt that the end roll is not the best way to decide which teams get the recruit.
7/1/2017 9:09 PM
How much AP did you have on them? Using a large amount of AP on the recruits not only increases your odds but often eliminates one or more coaches from challenging for the recruit leaving you in more 1:1 matchups for the player.

The old strategy in 2.0 was to put in just enough to win and you were guaranteed the recruit at 50.0001%. If you try that in 3.0 you get three way battles all the time. At least that is what I have experienced.
