back in the game, new team Topic

i recently decided to get back into HD. i dropped when all the new stuff happened. i didn't have the time to try and figure out all the new nuances. anyway, i took BYU in Knight. they are a fastbreak and zone team. should i bite the bullet and get out of the fastbreak offense? i have zero ties to this roster so I am open to changing. what has been the best strategies with the new game as a low prestige D1 who wants to be in the tournament eventually?

Mike,

Do what you want...Like you said no ties. Make the team yours. You might want to read up on the update. I have a ton of information on my blog about the update and the new system. https://hdtutorials.lovenetwebservices.com

To be honest it will be a few seasons obviously like the previous version before any changes help you with anything and it takes that long to get your own guys on the roster. So if you want to get rid of the fastbreak I say do it.

Glad to have you in the MWC though, very exciting stuff.

I think it's a nice place to land, honestly, I like FB offense, so I am not a solid judge. I would of said, get out of triangle... (smile)

In all honesty, FB and Zone is good for recruiting, because those are the two least used offense and defense. So, in terms of preferences, when you match up with players, there are fewer other teams that use those offenses and defenses, so that gives you an advantage. I personally just can't seem to win with zone though, so I am backing off of it, except at Hawaii, where I run Fastbreak and zone. I have been able to land good players in the states if they match those preferences, and especially if Far From Home is a preference.
