Just curious to get some opinions and start the debate on who you guys think is the absolute best coach currently playing HD. I currently play in 3 worlds, each of the two-a-day worlds, so there may be a slew of coaches out there that I’ve never even heard of. My vote would have to go to piman314. I don’t know how he does it, but I feel like every time I check the Final Four, he’s got a team in there. Props to him.

Many levels to decide the best. But I LOVE the topic! The different divisions make it hard to pick just one. It kinda reminds me of choosing the best ever in a sport. But the different era situation makes it difficult.

I see piman314 everywhere as well (I think he's the reason i was able to land my best D2 player ever. His A+ UConn team popped up on the considering list, and not a single team even put AP on him until i noticed and pushed for him. Obviously he was a backup thought for piman, but point is, I think his named made people pass and move on).

I'll put Only up there, Arfy, I see emy1013 up there alot although I don't know his profile very well

Only was the best at D3, but he isn't there anymore, so Piman, at D2, he wasn't, at D1, he wasn't.

I'm not even sure what that really means. But sure if his recent departure eliminates him, count him out. I just used the same process as the OP.... who did i see everywhere? Who whoops me consistently? Who do i want to avoid in my region of the bracket? Those are some of the guys

I have a list of championships in HD. It seems like it would be the ones who have the highest percentage of championships to games. I'll see if I can figure that out. But it might be a couple of days, if any of you want to try to figure it out.

johnsensing is right up there.

At least as far as D3 goes, I'd put brianxavier right up there near the top.

Hofhof was the best one-world coach. He's gone now, but his run at Syracuse in Wooden was absolutely ridiculous. Five championships in six seasons during one stretch. Four championship games in five seasons in another stretch. Twelve championships. Unbelievable.

To me : teamvip is the best D2 coach. But it depends where you play and against what team. He is IBA. At D1, I would say Buddha, but then again, he is Phelan where I play. If we go back in time: stewdog was incredible GA Tech, he is still there but not as dominant under 3.0

DI is Doogan IMO

These guys and I’ll add a couple vets: grecianfox and chapelhillne.

As as far as knowledge, mentoring, and performance they are top notch, in my opinion.

OR, LM2, and Rails. Of course LM2 and Rails dont play anymore.
