Is a player with a 17 WE worth recruiting if most of his stats are green? If I plan on playing him 10-15 mins a game how much could I expect him to grow in a season?

I’d say he would be worth recruiting if he is good enough to start immediately and for the duration of his college career. Having a lot of potential is nice but he may never max out due to his lower work ethic .

Yup. I'd pull the trigger here.

If you can start him and play him an average of 15-20 min (I know that is not what you indicated), his WE should improve around 25-30% per season. So worst case, 21 at end of frosh, 27 by end of soph, 33 by end of junior season and 42 by end of senior season. You can boost those numbers with longer minutes.

The above does not apply for players with already great work ethics. I haven't really tested that specifically, but I know a player with a 90 WE won't max out just because I start him and play him 20 min a game one season.
