I'm a Longshot at a school for the second straight year. I was declined immediately once job acceptance began last season. I've been reading all the other threads. A few of them mentioned the odds, however small, might be slightly improved if I wait until the last day. The rationale being, if no one else has applied, I have more of a shot, as opposed to getting rejected outright and not being able to reapply. Is there any truth to this?

No. Nobody has gotten a Longshot job in years.
