We have one opening in the 18th season (2002-03 and 2003-04) of a double season progressive which started with the 1968/69 & 1969/70 seasons. We progress 2 seasons at a time. Each season owners are able to select which of the 2 seasons they will use for each of their players, if the player was WIS eligible in both seasons. There will be adequate players available.
We will be ready to start the 2002-04 draft as soon as the 2 openings are filled.
The team available is the Phoenix Suns (name can be changed and city moves can be made to an unoccupied city which fits geographically in the Pacific Division). The Suns had a record of 24-58, 6th in the Atlantic Division and will be drafting 2nd in the 24 team league.
Phoenix owns all of their draft picks for the 2002-04 draft and does not own any additional draft picks.
There are probably 8 or 9 seasons left in the life of the league, plenty of time to build a winning team !
Since we progress 2 seasons at a time, player turnover in the league is rapid. Rookies for the 2002-03 and 2003-04 season include Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, David West and Manu Ginobili.
The first pick in the draft is very likely going to be Lebron James, but since the Suns have the 2nd pick, they will have the choice of Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh or any other player on the available player list.
