Smith World - Div-1... Topic

Smith World Div-1 is heading to the championship game tonight on CBS, from The Pit in Albuquerque... ok i made that up...

Arizona under bathtubhippo, who would never be confused with Sean Miller in terms of NT success and percentage of baby fat, is looking for his 3rd National Championship in 5 years. His opponent is #1 Air Force, which is soaring like a falcon under the steady hand and calm guidance of standupbob... and who has defeated 10 ranked opponents this season, including those very same Tucson-based Wildcats. A title at Air Force would be a major major accomplishment. Luckily CBS is giving Marv Albert the call so we don't have to hear Nantz's voice.

In other news in Smith World, Marquette is recruiting HD humans to join the Horizon League. Slider has made Butler a perennial force, and the conference is as ripe for the taking as a late-August peach tree to turn into a national power.

Available teams include Ray Meyer's DePaul Blue Demons which include a prestige bump, the Loyola Chicago Ramblers of Alfrederick Hughes, Porter Moser, and Bob Newhart, and Detroit Mercy with Spencer Haywood and Dave DeBuscherre. Turn one of these legendary teams into a national juggernaut.

I plan on being at Marquette for a long time, as long as the school wants me. Sure, after almost 100 HD seasons I've never made a Final Four, and sure, I'm not the cokc-of-the-walk or anything, and sure my wife and kids think i spend too much time on HD, but I'm still bona fide, right?

I'm looking to jump to D1 in Smith as soon as I can, so I'll definitely keep an eye on the Horizon if I'm qualified. Although I'm afraid some of the ADs in the league may have to lower their standards a little bit, haha.

Sounds good haag, keep the Horizon in mind!

The NT success is definitely 2 different stories. But Sean Miller and bathtubhippo "could" be equal in baby fat, if we're judging by the user name.

Just kidding bath tub guy!

it's all relative...for a hippo, bathtubhippo is positively svelte.

AF put together an amazing team, but we came together at the end of the season. AF will be back though!

Still no movement to the Horizon League in Smith World.
Still just me at Marquette and Slider at Butler.
I'm getting the itch to leave.

npb, here's some itch cream: I'd be at DePaul now if I were qualified. Perhaps next season!

New York Tech has some great returning talent. Suleiman looks unstoppable on offense.

Was not qualified for any team in the Horizon (yeah the Horizon) so I did move to Smith D1, but in the Metro.

Olaniyan is the man! He lives in NYC now so he's in the city even during the summer. Loves to play against random peeps at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 2. It's what gives him that edge, that quiet swag.
