No one picks a year between 1931 and 1965. I've heard it somewhere that 1950s players are somewhat undervalued, but clearly no one felt that strongly enough to go near that timespan. If some of those 1960s teams used them effectively though, that would be interesting to keep an eye on.

I disagree about the 1950's. I think the two worst decades to use in the sim are the 1930's and 1950's.

+1 to schwarze's view. The 1950's are not particularly good at anything on either the pitching or hitting side. Personally, I avoid them like the plague in almost all cases. Was not surprised to see the year gap here.

I'm curious (you guys can set me straight)...if stats in the SIM are normalized, shouldn't every decade have good players available? I agree that the 1950s are awful, but I'm curious as to why that is.
