Your bullpen sucks.

Jones Rivera Limon Nuno Samuel suck!?!?

Of all the parts of my team that's like the best...

Rivera Nuno Limon are like 3 of the 5 players who have met expectations.

What I mean by that is that you are OPSing over 800. Your defense is not great with 20 minus plays and a typically slightly below average fielding %, but your pitching has a 1.45 WHIP and is allowing almost 5 earned runs per game. Your top short reliever has a vs. RHH split of 75. This is a SuB kind of guy on most top level teams.

Mostly bad luck. The pitching isn't great-- but it has underperformed and should get better. There are just a few small things I've noticed on audit:
1) Flyball staff, flyball park. You're on pace to give up 241 homers, which is a ton. Nothing you can fix easily...
2) 2B/SS defense is only fair, although the rest of the team is fine. Instead of playing Boone Oliver until he literally rolls over and dies on the field, rest him against the occasional RHP and play Joakim Araujo instead.
3) I think you might be overextending your starters a bit in the 4-man... try cutting pack pitch counts a little. If that fatigues your pen, ditch Pat Martin, who blows, and get a higher-innings, higher-quality replacement at the trade deadline. In fact, do that anyway.

Patience. It will get better.

By the way, I would not say that your team sucked anyways. You're 8 games over .500 and only 1 out of the WC.

I'd like to think we're like a 620 win percentage team tho...

If you go to the franchise rankings page, it gives you a quick overview of how your team stacks up in each category. Looking at that, you are kind of middle of the pack in almost everything in the NL It's a good starting resource to use to get a general idea of where your team needs to improve. Obviously, you need to evaluate your team position by position, but I would definitely check out the rankings.

Maybe not in your world (F.Y.C.). The average NL ERA there is 4.53. Given that, and given that you're in Arizona, I'd add about 0.3 to each of those. Lot of hitting in the F.Y.C. NL. You're still underperforming, and I still think it's mostly luck.

FWIW, here's the pitch counts I'd use in a 4-man for your guys:
Dickson 100/105
Langford 70/80
Patrick 70/75
Edmonds 75/85
