This is why I've always said that I feel safer in the south with law abiding citizens openly carrying. It is quite common to see citizens with pistols on their hips in public places such as restaurants and it is comforting.

Open carry is great until you’re a black guy walking around Walmart and pick up a BB gun off the shelf.

No, it’s not irrelevant.

People, in general, do not feel safer when they see a black person carrying a gun. People call the cops. Cops shoot black guy.

I don't think BL knows what that means.

I feel safer when I see my black neighbor citizen friend walk around town with a gun. I wave. Then I usually say something....like...

Good day officer.

it is easy to feel fine when you see people you are comfortable with carrying guns in good neighborhoods.
how do you feel when you go into dangerous neighborhoods and you see people you are not sure about carrying guns and maybe they are other race and you think they are looking at you funny.
now it is a different scenerio.
sorry...im back out again.

First, I make it a point to not frequent high crime neighborhoods. Second, it's irrelevant to me what race a person is especially since I have a black son who wears a pistol.

you might have to go into a high crime neighborhood......it never occurred to me that you were the least bit racist........in fact i have always thought of you as a good guy which you most obviously are.
there are others that are different then you.
