D2:

I have a promise start to a freshman right now butane fighting out my true lineup for postseason. I’m curious to see some responses to this question.

Both players have nearly equal ppg and assist-turnover ratio after 7 games.

Who do you start at SG and who plays backup at PG? (I got a SR PG better with assists than both players.)

Most importantly explain why??

Robertson or Timpson

Timpson, backup PG. Due to lower Ath. There’s less chance of getting beat defensively by a more athletic opponent at the PG position especially coming off the bench.

Whoops. Not sure how I misread that. I still like Robertson a little better. I prioritize ATH on my teams, so I would be hesitant to start a 30 ATH guard with only B IQ. Maybe when Timpson is a senior I would start him since he seems more like a true guard.

I don't want 33/71 in my starting lineup if I have Robertson. Timpson can come off the bench and fire up some nice 3s. I'd consider him a useable backup at either position.

The real question should be between Zukas and Robertson. Timpson should be behind both of those guys.

Zukas turns over too much. I’ve got him backup at the 3 position.

Ballhandling and passing are pretty close.

You really don't want a starter with that low of athleticism. It's a good way to get into stamina issues/foul trouble during the game while putting the other team at the line.

Robertson has a B free throw grade vs Timpson's C+. At the end of the game, with the starters in, you want Robertson on the line.

Robertson's stamina is also better, you want someone that's going to be fresh at the end of the game.

Robertson one rebound per game better than Timpson.

The guys coming off the bench, seem to shoot better than the starters, assuming all ratings are equal. Timpson would be perfect for this role, in the right situation.
