We have 3 openings in a Double Progressive Contract League. This is a great concept where players from (going into this season) 80-81 and 00-01 can be used. The rosters were determined by the inaugural draft that happened last season and the players under contract for your team progress to 81-82 or 01-02 next year, and so on. The real twist are the contracts.

In the inaugural draft, each team was able to assign four 3-year contracts, four 2-year contracts, and four 1-year contracts. In addition, each team can franchise any ONE player to extend them for 3 additional years. Each team can only have one franchised player on the roster at a time.

There is a draft every offseason that includes the real life rookies from the two progressive seasons and every player who is no longer under contract. Every drafted player is automatically signed to a 3-year contract. This makes it very interesting because it would be extremely hard to build a dynasty when only one of your players can remain under contract for more than 3 years.

Trading is encouraged and there is also an add/drop available after the draft.

This team has a lot of talent and finished in the middle of the pack with room for improvement. The team selected Laimbeer in the first round and has 3 picks remaining.
