A WIS Sim League Baseball Podcast Topic

SLB user boundsjordan is part of a website that does podcasts on all things baseball-related. The most recent was a one-hour discussion on SLB. I was honored to be the guest for the podcast, and had a lot of fun talking nothing but SIM baseball. Give it a listen at www.runningthebases.com

Great job skunk. I'm sending my vote as the WIS ambassador of the year (decade) your way. Man. So much of what you said resonated within me regarding my desire to play, the on line competition and a much more. Again, well done.
BTW, the other podcasts linked to your looks interesting. I'm sure I'll be coming back to hear them. Kudos to boundsjordan.

Quick notes from the last few minutes of the podcast, as I’ve been delivering pizzas all day and that’s the portion that I remember and is fresh from my mind.

-Surround sound outfield is the name of my next team

- Cobb > Speaker forever and always, you’ll never get me to change my mind on that. I will give you the fact that Speaker has more A+ range seasons and Cobb has a lot of A- and B+ range seasons. But even guys like Delahanty and Cobb and Joe Jack, with those B+ range seasons will give you 20 “+” plays in a corner OF spot. And my Cobb always ends up with a higher OPS than my Speakers. I’ve recently been looking at RC/27 so I don’t have any knowledge of past performances to compare those. Also I’m a Tigers fan so...

-Ozomatli is pronounced with a hard O and hard A???? In my head I’ve been reading it with soft O’s and a soft A. This is blowing my mind, even though I’ll still read it as “ah-zuh-mah-t-lee”

Great job, skunk. You come across as not only extremely knowledgeable about SLB (which we already knew, from your forum posts and record), but funny and humble. I really enjoyed listening to this. Thanks for doing it, and thanks for the link.

I have no idea how ozomatli is supposed to be pronounced, ha. How I said it is how I hear it in my head. You'd have to ask Mike himself what's "correct".
