Somewhere beyond the Field of Dreams is the home of the Green Pasture Ghosts Progressive League.
All the players selected must be deceased. The ball parks must be parks no longer in use.
16 teams ( 4 divisions)
100 mil salary cap
No WW
Trades are allowed. Rules for trading below.
You must name your team in the traditional manner, City or State followed by the nickname. No profanity please.
Each team will draft 29 Ghosts. Your 2 lowest position players and your 2 lowest salaried pitchers will be your Ghost AAA players. Draft will be snake style with order determined by a WIS owner not in this league from random.org
Important
You can’t release players. Once drafted you must play their entire career on your team unless traded.
Here is one of the unique parts of this. You can play your Ghosts career in any order you wish. Once a season is played it can’t be repeated. I will keep track of seasons played in a thread in our private forum. I will greatly appreciate help from other owners double checking my lists.
Be prepared for a lengthy initial draft. It will be 30 rounds (29 Ghosts and a ball park).
Future drafts should be fairly quick due to the fact that you can’t release players.
You must put your rosters together each season to fit the 100 mil cap.
Trades
No trades allowed during the season. After each season we will hold our winter meetings on beautiful Cloud Nine. I am thinking of a 2 week period for owners to post their Ghosts that are on the trading block and make deals. Draft picks can’t be traded.
Any questions or comments post them or site mail me.
