Calculating WAR in HBD Topic

I'm just curious if anyone has ever tried to put together a Wins Above Replacement stat for HBD. Figuring out how to convert plus and minus plays to defensive runs saved seems like the hard part.

I haven't personally done it, but yes it has been done. I remember a world a few years back that had an individual who had done it. If they are still around, hopefully they will respond.

Ah finally found it. I bumped the thread I found a while ago a guy has a spreadsheet you can copy that does it.

Anyone have a rule of thumb for this with regards to ratings? I have no math to back this up, but I've always wondered if something along the lines of "X points above league avg in a certain category (or categories) = Y WAR" could be used to evaluate guys
