I know it's happened in real life, but I've never seen it in WIS. Has it ever happened to anyone/have you seen it?

I'm close to midway through the year in a 1986 progressive, and my Tom Henke is currently leading voting (6-0, 22 saves, 1.75 ERA, .86 WHIP). This is also clearly going to jinx him into sucking for a while, but I thought I'd ask anyhow since I am curious.

In my blacklist league, Jonathan Papelbon won the AL Cy Young in Season 10. It's not common but it can happen.

In a 1937 prog I was in Johnny Allen won the Cy Young throwing 99 innings, all in relief. His record was 4-9, he converted 52/61 save chances, and his ERA was 2.83.

I thought my starter Lefty Grove should have won it (307 IP, 23-11, 4.28 ERA -- and unlike Allen, he made the playoffs!) but who was I going to complain to?

I mean I had that 149 IP Kershaw finish top 5 in Cy Young voting while pitching the whole season as my Setup A.

But Idk if that’d count if he DID win cuz he’s not exactly a reliever

In the just completed WESPL prog, 2012 Aroldis Chapman did it. 7-1; 27/33 sv; 0.96 whip; 1.34 era. What's strange here is that Craig Kimbrel won the Fireman award and Chapman didn't even appear in the top 5. Go figure.

Just happened in the Two Man Band league.

My '77 Tom Seaver, used in relief only for 90 innings, went 14-10, 3.10 with 30/32 saves
Runner up was '63 Koufax at 24-6, 4.96 with 288 innings
Third was '68 Gibson at 22-8, 5.10 with 236 innings

Notably, my Seaver didn't win the Fireman award. Squeezed out by '24 Babe Adams with 0-1, 3.82, 36/40 Saves and only 33 innings. No idea why.
