I can see their point, but its somewhat silly. I don't think it should be removed.

But I'm not going to be outraged if they do. I don't really care, to be honest. College students can vote. If they want it out, might as well keep them happy.

I'm so old I remember when Stanford were the Indians. I especially liked that when Plunkett was their QB.

These young students need to get a life, focus on getting an education, and stop acting like overly sensitive puffballs.
I don't know a single Native American who objects to using the nickname "warriors" for team nicknames.
Same with Braves. These are honorable terms. Words of RESPECT. You don't call a coward a warrior or a brave.
Same thing with Tigers or Lions. These names were chosen precisely BECAUSE they represent strength, honor, pride, fierce battleskills.
It's NOT offensive at all to anyone but a creampuff.

Colonial is not as inspiring as (say) warrior, BUT, I reckon it was chosen to represent the determination, grit, pluckyness of the Colonials.
Twisting it into representing "white supremacy" is just trying to inject dissension where none should exist.

I do think Dan Snyder needs to change the name of his team. It's a dictionary defined racial slur.

Why does anyone care about the name so much? I couldn't care less about changing a name if people find it offensive. It's a silly debate to have.
