I've never made it to Cooperstown, and I suppose I foolishly assumed lots of great achievements were memorialized there. One hears of things being sent to the Hall of Fame, like jerseys and balls and bats from milestone moments and no-hitters and such. Is none of that on display?
It sort of depends on how one defines "Hall of Fame". The Hall of Fame is a great baseball museum as a whole that definitely displays a lot of this stuff, and does a fine job. Within the Hall is the actual "Hall" of Fame, though -- a single massive long room containing all of the plaques of the members of the Hall of Fame. There is generally speaking nothing else in this particular Hall, at least from my memories of the one time I was there (last summer). Everything that is sent to the Hall may or may not show up somewhere in the museum complex known as the "Hall of Fame", but having your memorabilia present in the museum somewhere (or your achievement denoted on the wall somewhere like in the records room) does not recognize you in the Hall itself.
