I understand the concept behind a bye week, don't get me wrong. But in this game it doesn't make a difference. Stamina doesn't matter from game to game and a break isn't really needed for the team or the user. If the two bye weeks were taken off, it would shorten the season by two days! That's a lot of time and it's been a hot topic to try and shorten the offseason. This wouldn't shorten the offseason, but it makes seasons go slightly quicker and overall a better experience. Or just keep the days, but allow there to be two more non-conference games. Season is the same length, but two more games! More realistic too with how many games get played.
One other schedule change while I'm at it is for exhibition games. It's interesting that it sims at 2:00pm and the following day at 2:00pm, then immediately the season starts that night at 2:00am. I would propose two options to change it. A) have the first exhib. sim at 2:00pm then the second sim at 2:00am that night. That gives a full day for users to manage their team for the important game, rather than a whole day for the exhib. game and a half day for the first real game. B) Just add a third exhibition game smack dab in between the two games to sim at 2:00am. There's no reason not to when there's already a half day to prepare for the first game.
Just some thoughts I had. I have plenty more too! Most of it involving customizing situational game-planning, more realistic subbing, etc.
