Buckner passed away a couple days ago. Nice article here from The New Yorker.

I loved the line about his inside-the-park home run at age 40 looking like "a suitcase falling downstairs," although I wish the writer had mentioned his Curb Your Enthusiasm appearance somewhere in the piece.
