For example, in the Cooperstown HIstorical Replay League, we replay each season using the exact real life rosters for each team. Each team is allowed to draft as many players into AAA as actually played for their MLB team that season. In 1991, I have the Mets. There are 30 players in WIS who played for the 1991 Mets, so I have drafted 5 of them as AAA: Tom Herr, Charlie O'Brien, Garry Templeton, Todd Hundley, and Sid Fernandez.
All of those guys show up on my Team Manager pages as having a $200K salary.
Their actual salaries are:
Hundley: $967,838
Templeton: $830,567
Herr: $765.020
O'Brien: $1,179,386
Fernandez: $1,1,68,539
That's all it means...do you want to see "200K" or the actual numbers when these players show up on your team?
Note that this setting does not in any way affect TOC seeding either - all teams are placed in a TOC based on the total salary of their final 25-man roster...so regardless of what setting you choose, the real salaries are used for TOC seeding purposes.
