Redshirt Ineligible Player Topic

Can you redshirt a player who is in their second season with you but first eligible season, and still have them for 4 playing years? So essentially with you for 6 seasons.

Nope. A player can only be on a roster for 5 total seasons no matter what, so you can't redshirt the dummies.

Not entirely true. Coastal Carolina in Tark currently has a sixth-year guy, he got a medical redshirt in one of his seasons after playing 8 games.

I don't think you can voluntarily redshirt an inel to get a sixth season, but I can't test that right now to be sure.

You're not supposed to exceed 20% of your scheduled games to receive a medical redshirt. So not sure what's going on with that player.

An ineligible player can not be redshirted at any point. As far as a coaching option. That medical redshirt thing you mentioned in Tark is pretty interesting.

Can you post that player please? I've never seen a medical redshirt situation in this game. Would like to see how it looks on the player profile and stats page

You'll notice he did enjoy offseason improvement after every season, but he was a low potential guy so it didn't really matter.

That's what the FAQ says, but in my opinion that's a pretty dumb/harsh rule. If a guy plays more than 5 games under that rule, and gets hurt in game 6 or 7, he's screwed.

Seems reasonable to me that if you lose a guy in the first half of the season, a medical RS should be an option.

Interesting. His growth seemed to stop the season he was injured and he lost WE. But then things picked back up when off season improvements happened, and he began playing again. I assume it happens this way at all times when a season ending injury occurs?

I've never seen this. Pretty cool. Thanks for pointing this out
