1. The Yankees - ouch. But in the end, as for 20 years now, the team has the wrong philosophy. Houston, much as I hate to say it, knows how to hit and put balls in play, and has not fallen entirely for the whole bias against starting pitchers.
Every Yankee except for LeMahieu, and to much lesser extents Hicks (my favorite player) and Gleyber Torres, swung for the fences, missed pitches by miles, and kept doing it, channeling their inner Ruben Sierras and Alfonso Sorianos. Even after it became evident that MLB switched the balls again for the postseason so record HR season was not going to carried over into the playoffs, even if anyone can hit the better quality pitching to be faced.
2. Is this the second World Series ever between two expansion teams? The Mets-Royals would be the first maybe? Or am I forgetting some?
