Do you guys typically use the management console to run your minor league teams? It seems like a lot of micro-management is necessary if you don't but could it be that that's what the best owners do? Thanks in advance.

It's not as much as you might think. I make changes to each level of my minors pitching staff twice a day. Usually just means swapping out a pitcher or two at each level. AI can make some bad decisions as far as promoting players.

I generally allow simmy to manage minors offense and defense, and leave the DL/promote/demote boxes unchecked. This allows me to limit time spent on full minor league reviews to around two a week.

I over manage my minors. I try to make sure all of my real prospects play in almost every game. This includes any DITR candidates. Because of this, I manage everything, every cycle, but really, all this means is making pitching moves -- activating/deactivating them and making sure I have 180+ pitches out there.

That is the downside of letting the AI manage your minors. Your prospects might not get the playing time you desire and therefore won't develop as quickly.
