Can't Figure how to add cash to a trade Topic

I've been playing a long time but have never been able to figure out how to add cash to a trade. Every time I enter a cash figure it says PLEASE MATCH THE REQUESTED FORMAT. Can't find anywhere what this means or how to do it-help?

Have never seen that. You just put an amount in the slot for cash and as long as it does not exceed a budget for the current or future season you are good.

You must be entering the dollar sign. You're only supposed to enter the numbers.

I've tried it both ways multiple times-using the dollar sign and not using it-still comes up PLEASE MATCH THE REQUESTED FORMAT

As bj says, "enter the numbers". Do not include the coma between digits: e.g. two million dollars is 2000000 not 2,000,000 - just be careful to count how many zeros you enter.
