Looking through minor league free agents and I come across this guy - Jody Duran.

45 years old, never made it the majors (though it looks like he was once pretty close, hitting well at AAA) and last had even a minor league job 12 seasons back, but somehow still hasn't given up.

Unfortunately he hasn't kept in shape or kept his skills up and at this point is probably less healthy/fit/skilled than the average 45 year old on the street. That said, I'm absolutely signing him and getting him one ML at bat.

We always joke about guys like that in Riley. He may get up to the plate and have a heart attack before he swings the bat. Always makes for a few good laughs.

You gotta like his attitude, though.

Maybe he's like Terrell Owens. In his mind.

A rare combination of speed and power. (More specifically, a combination of 4 and 4.)

I signed Steve Torres in Shtickless this past season. He's a 44 year-old who hadn't played pro ball in 10 seasons, and had never made the majors. I gave him starts at 1B in each of my final three regular season games (by then I was locked into the 4 seed), and he actually managed to get a hit off of Avery Wong, who I imagine was heckled mercilessly by his teammates.

That said, Torres looks like a marginally better player than Duran, so your guy might honestly be the worst ever. I'm hoping I can get Torres to play 'til he's 50 if I keep him on the 40 man roster.

Torres only struck out twice! - he will be able to tell his grandchildren about all the times he hit slow rollers back to the pitcher.

lol, it's too bad we no longer have the ability to change minor league players back and forth between pitching and positions. I'd use that guy in the field AND on the mound.
