Alex Matos is a very similar player used by Seattle in that way for 5-6 seasons. For those who don't want to click through the player card a million times:
His glove ratings during that time were Range 81; Glove 83; AS 81; AA 79
His fielding at 3B was shockingly not awful, but still bad: per 1400 innings he made 1 (+) play, 11 (-) plays, and 10 errors with a fielding pct of .975. He also turned 25 DPs per 1400 innings.
So that's bad but not disgraceful; it's like playing a guy with 58-60 range and 70's for the other three ratings. I can see rosters where I'd take that hit.
